About Me
Before re-training as a counsellor I was a teacher working in both primary and secondary schools, as well as the museum service. I trained in special needs with the local authority and the NHS, and also worked in a person -centred college as a therapeutic specialist.
. Since then I have been pleased to help a range of people presenting with a variety of issues such as bereavement, abuse, low self esteem, bullying, exam stress, anxiety, acceptance, spirituality, and communication problems..
In addition to being in private practice I volunteer as a mentor/counsellor for Adoption UK., I also run a number of support groups in the locality and for Harrogate Grammar School.
You can see a picture of both me and my therapy space on this website. Clients tell me I am warm and welcoming that I have a sense of humour and make them think!
